TOMS Shoes, founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie, features a unique slip-on design with clean lines and lightweight fabrics available in vibrant colors and prints. Inspired by the traditional Argentine "alpargata," Blake was moved by the poverty and health issues he witnessed during a trip to Argentina. This led him to reinvent the alpargata for the U.S. market with the goal of making life more comfortable for those without shoes.

In order to achieve this mission, Blake pledged to donate a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair of TOMS purchased. During the first year of operation, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes, and Blake returned to Argentina to lead the first annual Shoe Drop, providing shoes to the children who had inspired him.

Today, TOMS Shoes offers a variety of colors and fabric options for men, women, and children, including a line specifically designed for kids called Tiny TOMS.
